Staff Spotlight: Char Turner

For Char Turner, community is at the heart of the work. As a dog walker and senior dog hiker with Sarah’s Pet Services, Char brings integrity, patience, and a calm presence to every walk and trail outing around Northampton and the surrounding areas.

Alongside his work with dogs, Char also works in the mental health field, and the skills from that role translate naturally to pet care. His thoughtful, steady approach is especially valuable when working with senior dogs who benefit from a slower pace and extra reassurance.

Char has been walking dogs for many years and still keeps photos of dogs he cared for nearly eight years ago — a small detail that reflects how meaningful those bonds are to him.

What Char enjoys most is quiet time in the woods with dogs and watching the seasons change. Whether navigating a peaceful trail or the occasional unexpected wildlife encounter, Char brings consistency, compassion, and care to every outing.
